“What type of democracy do you impose with marines and bombs?”
Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez made quite the spectacle at the UN the other day (you can read the partial transcript here.), sounding like a little bit of a looney by calling Bush “the devil” and saying “it smells of sulfur still today.” Personally, I would reckon Bush’s odor to be something of a combination of petroleum distillates, cocaine, budweiser, and the stink of utter failure covered up by a stiff shot of Tag body spray, but that’s beside the point.
Point is, no matter how much you want to lambaste Chavez for his questionable remarks, a great deal of what he says is true. And if it’s not true, it sure as hell seems that way.
